"A second aspect of this initiative is to create a registry of these specially trained providers so that service members, their families, and referring professionals can access those trained providers. SBHP will manage the registry to insure providers are qualified to be listed in the registry by licensure and completion of designated trainings." ~ http://starproviders.org/providers/states/michigan/
The Star Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP) network is a collaborative effort between the Michigan State University Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Michigan Army National Guard, Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University, and The Center for Deployment Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. By completing this FREE training you will be in a better position to continue working with veterans and armed services personnel. This applies to all mental health practitioners, but especially to LPCs looking to work with the VA or any veteran's departments. The trainings are free unless you seek an actual CE certificate, which is only a nominal $10.
